Creative New Zealanders will find it easier to showcase their work online through The Big Idea's new website, www.thebigidea.co.nz.

Creators and organisations can now add and promote their work for sale in a new Show section. Gallery items, including visual and object art, videos and work-in-progress blogs, are then displayed in a personalised profile page.

"It's very exciting to see how the new site draws attention to the depth and strength of New Zealand's creative talent, innovation and diversity," says The Big Idea Executive Director Elisabeth Vaneveld.

ÒCentral to The Big Idea is the vision that through connecting with others artists and creators can readily access the resources they need to fuel their success and sustainability.Ó

The Big Idea includes updated news and columns, free job, event and media release listings, forums, career tools and an industry and professional services directory. Most of the content is submitted by The Big Idea members.

The new website also has a dedicated section for Mark Amery's visual arts column, featuring archived and fortnightly columns. The Big Idea has been running for the past seven years and has a strong online creative community of 20,000 members.
