Centre of Contemporary Art, Christchurch, offers an extensive collection for sale and hire

Christchurch's Centre of Contemporary Art (COCA) boasts one of the country's finest collections of modern New Zealand art for sale and hire.

Over the last 100 years the gallery has acquired works by important New Zealand artists including Don Peebles, Ralph Hotere, Dick Frizzell and John Coley. COCA continues to grow it's collection by carefully selecting works from new and exciting contemporary artists.

Artworks from COCA's permanent collection are available to hire for only $275 a year. In addition the gallery has pieces for sale from as little as $300.

Rachael Slade, COCA's art consultant, says 'there's a wonderful selection of work for sale and hire, across a variety of mediums. The collection represents over a century of New Zealand modern art and includes quality established and emerging artists.

'For many people, including businesses, hiring a painting or sculpture is an affordable way to enjoy art outside of a gallery. For others, it's a great way to evaluate a piece before making an investment,' says Rachael.

Rachael adds, 'whether buying or hiring, the gallery offers professional art advice and consultancy to help people choose the right piece for their home or business'.

The collection is permanently on display within the gallery and can be viewed online at www.coca.org.nz. The hire collection is only available to the Christchurch area and artworks are professionally installed. All sale artworks are professionally packaged and can be transported internationally.
